The Project:
Aria Denver is a 17.5-acre master planned mixed-income, mixed-use community that includes townhomes, row homes, and apartments as well as commercial components. Aria Denver promotes healthy living with community gardens, production gardens, pocket parks, and pathways integrated into the site. Of the 526 residential units, 201 are affordable units, including LIHTC apartments, Habitat for Humanity for-sale townhomes, and transitional housing for young women and children exiting homelessness.
Our Role:
As Development Associate at Urban Ventures, LLC, the master developer for the site, Lindsay managed the Master Association of the community that included over 500 residential units and single-family, multi-family, and commercial property owners. She served as the point person for all owners and developers on the site, including LIHTC apartment developers, market-rate townhome and condominium developers, owners within a multi-generational and mixed-income co-housing community, Habitat for Humanity, two urban agriculture non-profits, and a non-profit serving young women and children transitioning out of homelessness. She also served as the community liaison between the master developer, the Master Association, and the surrounding neighborhood. During her time managing the property, two condo buildings and a Habitat for Humanity Pocket neighborhood were under construction, over twenty townhomes were built and sold, and the commercial block, which includes a Starbucks and Bank for America, was sold to another developer. At the end of her tenure, she negotiated the transfer of property management from Urban Ventures to a property management firm and initiated the transition of the Master Association from declarant (developer) control to owner control.
