The Project:

STEAM on the Platte is a mixed-use project in Denver's Sun Valley neighborhood that includes a 65,000 square foot former industrial warehouse that is now office space; Raices Brewery, Denver's first Latino-owned brewery; and Bold Beans Cafe, a social enterprise of Girls Inc. of Metro Denver that serves exclusively women-produced coffee and provides employment and entrepreneurial training to young women and girls.

Our Role:

As Development Associate at Urban Ventures, LLC, Lindsay served as the community liaison between Urban Ventures (the developer and owner of the project) and Sun Valley - the neighborhood home to STEAM on the Platte. She attended Registered Neighborhood Organization meetings as a representative for Urban Ventures and participated in local community events. She also became a member of the Westside Stadium Community Coalition, a coalition of resident leaders and equity-oriented non-profit, government, and business stakeholders from the Sun Valley neighborhood and West Denver that was formed to develop and negotiate a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) with the master developer of the Stadium District redevelopment - a 55-acre mixed-use development to be located just down the street from STEAM on the Platte.

Lindsay also managed the day-to-day maintenance, landscaping, and tenant communications for the 3.2 acre site, the STEAM office building, and Raices Brewery. She served as the point person between landlord and tenants and facilitated the transfer, expansion, and leasing of multiple suites. In 2021, she was instrumental in executing the sale of the STEAM office building to New York-based real estate firm, Acram Group.
